# How to add Kanban Buttons and Menus

Custom buttons (and drop-down menus) can be shown at the top of your Kanban board. They add interactivity. To configure them, open Kanban Properties sidebar and click "Edit" in the "Buttons" section:

To add a menu click on "Add Menu". Menu is a way to aggregate buttons into dropdown blocks of submenu items. See how to configure menu in the same article.

After being added, buttons and menus will be listed in "Buttons" section:
