# Flexi Kanban App Overview

Flexi Kanban is a Salesforce app that includes a set of tabs for working with Kanban boards, forms, reusable automations, and application settings.

This page helps you get oriented in the app and understand which tab to use first. It does not explain every feature in detail. More advanced topics, such as **Kanban Studio** and **Form Studio**, are covered in separate articles.

### Where should a new admin start?

If you are creating your first board, start from the **Kanbans** tab.

To create a new Kanban:

1. Open the **Kanbans** tab.
2. Click **New**.
3. This opens the **Kanban Creation Wizard**.

{% hint style="info" %}
The **Kanban Creation Wizard** helps you generate a board that is immediately usable. After that, you can open the board in **Kanban Builder/Studio** and enhance it with more advanced layouts, styling, interactions, filters, forms, and automations.
{% endhint %}

### Flexi Kanban Application Tabs

***

### Kanbans

The **Kanbans** tab shows the list of existing Kanbans that you have access to in your Salesforce org.

From this tab, you can create a new Kanban, open a Kanban in Viewer mode, or manage existing Kanbans you have access to.

{% hint style="info" %}
When you click **Edit**, the Kanban opens in **Kanban Studio**, where you can configure advanced board settings such as layout, columns, cards, filters, interactions, and automation.
{% endhint %}

### Forms

The **Forms** tab lists the Forms available in your org.

Forms in Flexi Kanban enable interactive, custom experiences linked to your boards, such as displaying card details or popping up a form when a card is moved to a different column.

Use this tab to create a new form or manage existing forms.

### Actions

The **Actions** tab shows the list of reusable **Actions** available in your org.

{% hint style="info" %}
An Action is a reusable automation element that performs one backend operation.
{% endhint %}

Examples of actions include validating data, defining variables, creating, updating, or deleting a record, sending an email, making a callout, and executing Apex logic.

Use this tab to create a new action or manage existing actions.

### Action Groups

The **Action Groups** tab shows the list of reusable **Action Groups** available in your org.

{% hint style="info" %}
An **Action Group** is a sequence of individual Actions executed one after another. All Actions inside the group share the same runtime context and variables. Think of an **Action Group** as a reusable multi-step automation flow.
{% endhint %}

Use this tab to create a new Action Group or manage existing ones you have access to.

### Settings

The **Settings** tab is used to manage application-level Flexi Kanban configuration for your Salesforce org.

Use this tab when you need to review or update global settings that affect how Flexi Kanban works across your organization, including general application behavior, supported objects, and integration-related configuration.

A detailed overview of the available settings is covered in a separate article.
